Frequently Asked Questions

How long is a session?

Therapy sessions typically last 50 minutes. You may, if you desire, request a longer session contingent on schedule availability.

How long does therapy last?

This depends entirely on your therapeutic goals. Certain therapeutic models are time limited; however, my approach is not. I encourage my clients to bring whatever emergent issues are most present. Continued growth means that new problems and new methods of solving them will emerge. It is entirely up to you with regard to how long you would like to be in therapy.

How often should I come to therapy?

Again, this depends entirely on your therapeutic goals. With that said I recommend coming to session on a weekly basis for your first month. Your frequency in attendance is always negotiable and I want to respect your pace as well as your availability.

Do you offer free consultations?

Yes! I offer free 30 minute consultation calls. Please go to the contact page for information about how to reach out to me. We will schedule a phone call and I will inquire about the reasons for seeking services. Should we decide to work together I will provide you with all relevant information about what to expect from your first scheduled appointment.

Do you offer teletherapy?

I am now offering teletherapy. I utilize several different (in case there are technical issues) HIPAA compliant platforms. Sessions are never audio/video recorded.

I live outside of Denver, can I still see you?

I hold licenses in Colorado and California which allows me to see all residents of those states. I am unable to see anyone outside of these two states, both in-person and through telehealth.

Can I follow you on social media?

You may follow me on my professional accounts as they relate to my practice. This currently includes Facebook and Twitter. If you come across any personal accounts for me or someone you believe I may be related to I request that you respect my privacy. In addition, I do not follow clients on social media.

Where is your office located?

My office is located directly across the street of the Macy’s at the Cherry Creek Mall. For more information with regard to the address and parking please visit my contact page.

Do you accept insurance?

I do not accept insurance. Utilizing private pay ensures that your information will be kept confidential. In addition, no one can dictate a session limit. What I’ve observed from working with insurance in the past is that they may request your private information for a claims review. This could be one set of eyes or could be reviewed by multiple people. If they deny your claim then this is something that may discourage you from getting the help that you feel that you need. I want you to have the freedom to drive the direction of your care.

50 minute individual session $175

50 minute couple session $265

Should you want to schedule a longer session the amounts listed above will be prorated.
